Sesame Crusted Turkey Filets

Servings: 8

Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. Olive oil
  • 2 tbsp. Soy sauce
  • 1 1/2 tbsp. Lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp. Sesame oil
  • 4 cloves Garlic — minced
  • 1 tbsp. Fresh Rosemary — chopped
  • 2 tbsp. Ginger — grated
  • 2 tbsp. Chives — minced
  • 2 tsp. Lemon Zest — grated
  • 8 Turkey Filets (5 oz)
  • 1 c. Sesame seeds — Toasted
  • 1/2 c. Honey
  • 1 c. Orange juice
  • 1/4 Each c. Olive oil, White wine vinegar, and Orange zest
  • Salt and white pepper to taste

Instructions

Marinade

  1. Blend together marinade ingredients. Marinate turkey filets for 1-2 hours.

Sauce

  1. Mix all ingredients together to prepare sauce and set aside.

Sesame Crusted Turkey Filets

  1. Place toasted sesame seeds in a shallow dish. Discard marinade and dip each turkey filet in sesame seeds to coat both sides. Lightly grease a saute pan. Over medium heat, saute turkey filets until crust forms, approximately 5 minutes each side. Pour sauce over filets, bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for about 15 minutes or until done (internal temp. of 165 degrees F.). Serve over brown rice cooked in chicken broth.
