Single Serve Sausage Pizza Party

Use of the following pizza toppings alone or in combination to fit anyone's taste for a fun pizza party.

Ingredients

  • 4 HARVESTLAND® Chicken Sausages with Peppers and Onions
  • 16 oz. fresh pizza dough or other yeast bread dough — defrosted, if necessary*
  • 1/2 c. Ricotta cheese
  • 1 c. fresh spinach — thinly sliced
  • 1/2 c. shredded Mozzarella cheese, part-skim (2 oz)
  • 1/2 c. shredded Asiago cheese (2 oz)
  • 1/2 tsp. dried Italian seasoning

* Fresh pizza dough can be found in the refrigerated or freeze section of your grocery store

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F.
  2. Divide dough into 4 equal pieces. Press or roll dough onto a circle on a lightly greased cookie sheet.
  3. Slice sausages into 1/4 –inch pieces. Top dough evenly with Ricotta cheese, spinach, sliced sausage, Mozzarella and Asiago cheeses. Sprinkle with seasoning.
  4. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until crust is golden and cheese is melted and bubbly.

Serving Suggestion #2 Ingredients 4 HARVESTLAND® Chicken Sausage Asiago Cheese, Onion with Roasted Peppers 16 ounces fresh pizza dough or other yeast bread dough, defrosted, if necessary* ½ cup marinara sauce 8 ounces fresh cherry-sized Mozzarella cheese balls (Alternate: 1-8 ounce fresh Mozzarella ball) 12-16 fresh basil leaves Instructions Preheat oven to 425°F. Divide dough into 4 equal pieces. Press or roll dough into a circle on a lightly greased cookie sheet. Slice sausages into ¼-inch pieces. Top dough evenly with sauce, sausage and cheese. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until crust is golden and cheese is melted. Remove from oven and top with basil leaves.

Serving Suggestion #3 Ingredients 4 HARVESTLAND® Chicken Sausage Asiago Cheese, Onion with Roasted Peppers 1 tablespoon olive oil 2 cups onion, thinly sliced 1 clove garlic, minced 16 ounces fresh pizza dough or other yeast bread dough, defrosted, if necessary* 1/4 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning 4 ounces Goat cheese, crumbled 4 tablespoons Parmesan cheese, grated 1/2 teaspoon dried red pepper flakes, optional Instructions Preheat oven to 425°F. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onions and garlic; cook 10-15 minutes until soft and golden brown, stirring frequently. Amount will shrink in half. Stir in Italian seasoning. Divide dough into 4 equal pieces. Press or roll dough into a circle on a lightly greased cookie sheet. Slice sausages into ¼-inch pieces. Top dough evenly with caramelized onions, sausage, Goat cheese, Parmesan cheese. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until crust is golden. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with red pepper flakes, if desired.
