Vietnamese Banh Mi Sandwich

Ingredients

  • 6 slices Sandwich Builders® Ham
  • 1 French baguette
  • 2 tbsp. Mayonnaise — to taste
  • 2 Fresh mint leaves
  • 1/4 c. Bean sprouts
  • 2 tbsp. Shredded carrots
  • 2 Romaine lettuce leaves
  • 1 Cucumber — sliced thinly
  • 1 1/2 tbsp. Soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp. Rice vinegar
  • 1 1/2 tbsp. Chili oil
  • 1 tbsp. Honey
  • 1/2 tsp. Red pepper flakes
  • 1/8 tsp. Black pepper
  • 1 tsp. Sesame oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400'F. Slice baguette horizontally and spread mayonnaise on both inner sides. Bake until hot & crusty, approx. 5 minutes.
  2. Layer baguette with lettuce leaves, sprouts, cucumber slices, ham, mint leaves and shredded carrots.
  3. Blend soy sauce, vinegar, oil, honey, pepper flakes, pepper and sesame oil together & serve with sandwich.
